How to read our drone research

Use source-backed profiles to separate manufacturer specifications, editorial interpretation and unanswered questions—not to assume hands-on testing.

What each kind of evidence can tell you

Manufacturer pages can support the manufacturer's own specifications, but they do not establish independently measured performance.

A possible-fit description is editorial interpretation, not a recommendation or a result from flying the aircraft.

Treat a claim as hands-on evidence only when the page documents a separate test; source research alone is not that evidence.

Compare the configuration, not just the name

Look for the controller, battery count, storage and bundle named in the profile before comparing two configurations.

Read the remaining questions alongside the summary, especially where a model-level source does not establish the condition of a particular unit.

An unanswered question is a reason to check the relevant manufacturer or official source, not a reason to assume the product passed a test.

Read dates and corrections in context

A checked or reviewed date describes a particular source check or page version; it does not guarantee that the information is unchanged today.

A historical seller observation is not proof of current stock, price, shipping, support or warranty.

Our correction standard is to explain material changes to facts, dates, attribution, status or scope.

If a source changes or conflicts with a profile, check that source before relying on the earlier description.

Keep evidence and commercial context separate

An ordinary source link does not by itself establish a commercial relationship or independent product testing.

Read the dated relationship disclosure

This is research guidance, not legal advice, flight authorization or a product recommendation.

Start with buying criteria

Use buying guides to frame your needs, then compare the evidence for the configurations you are considering.
